Coldharbour Mill encourages the education and development of textiles skills and crafts. Available at the mill are independant workshops, groups and tuition for all levels from the complete beginner to the experienced master.

SPINNING

Our friendly spinning group has been meeting for many years at the old stables in the mill yard. Bring your wheel and enjoy an afternoon spinning and share tips. Thinking about starting spinning then this is an excellent oppourtunity to get some great tips and help from some experienced spinners.

Coldharbour Mill Spinners meet in the Old Stables every Wednesday 2-4pm.

KNITTING

Come and have a knit and a knatter at in the old stables at Coldharbour Mill every Thursday afternoon. Enjoy a great time sharing techniques or come as a novice and get some expert help with your knitting.

WEAVING

As part of the Culm Valley Adult & Community Learning the mill is host to some excellent weaving tuition by Textile Artist Louise Cottey. Set within the main building of the mill, Louise is able to take you from yarn to cloth on a vast array of weaving looms in a variety of styles and techniques. Courses are available on Thursday and Friday by prior arrangemennt.
