Coldharbour Mill encourages the education and development of textiles skills and crafts. Available at the mill are independent workshops, groups and tuition for all levels from the complete beginner to the experienced craftsperson.
Our friendly spinning group has been meeting for many years at the Old Stables in the Mill yard. Bring your wheel and enjoy an afternoon spinning and sharing tips. If you are thinking about learning to spin, then this is an excellent opportunity to get some great help and tips from some experienced spinners. A Spinning wheel can be provided, for use at the Mill, for newcomers to start spinning.
Coldharbour Mill Spinners meet in the Old Stables every Wednesday 2-4pm.

The Mill is host to some excellent weaving tuition by Textile Artist Louise Cottey. Meeting in the Fox Gallery in the main Mill building, Louise will guide you through the processes from yarn to cloth and teach you to weave in a variety of styles and techniques. Courses are available on Thursdays and Fridays by prior arrangement.
Weaving Tuition is provided in 10 Week Weaving Courses which follow the academic year, starting in September, in the New Year and after Easter.
Weaving Classes on Thursday mornings are focused on learning to weave, while Friday mornings are suitable for all abilities. Friday afternoon classes are for weavers with a few years experience who are looking for a new challenge.
Morning classes: 9.30 - 12.30. Afternoon classes: 1.15 - 3.45.
It is usually possible to start at the beginning of any term and shorter workshops are available during school holiday periods.
For more information, or to enrol, on the weaving courses, contact Louise by phone on 01460 259271 or 07527 248178 or by email: email@example.com
