Visitor Services Officer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, organised, outgoing Visitor Services Officer to join our trading company, who is equally happy working on their own and as part of a team.

A hands on role working in, and managing the Shop, Reception, Online Store and Ticketing, the successful candidate will help recruit, train and lead a team of volunteers to ensure high standards of customer services creating the best possible experience for visitors at the Mill.

This role will work with our team to the benefit of Coldharbour Mill by maintaining and merchandising retail products, promoting and administering our membership scheme, admissions, group and school booking processes efficiently to optimise our income as well as visitor enjoyment.

This position will be our visitors first impression and experience of the Mill, helping to welcome and advise our visitors about the site, running of admissions, retail, tours, visitor communications and membership, supported by and supporting the General Manager, the postholder will assist the General Manager with other tasks such as social media, events and volunteer administration.

Initially the position is a fixed term contract to 31st October 2021, it is our intention this should become a permanent role.

Salary guide £19,500 to £21,500 full time 5 days from 7 generally Monday to Friday 9am-5pm but will include some weekend working for Event and Steam days.

Clerk to the Company Secretary

We are currently seeking a highly organised administrator to join Coldharbour Mill Trust to provide support to the Company Secretary.

This Administrative role will assist the Company Secretary in managing the governance of the charity and will need to show excellent communication and organisation to deal with correspondence, board papers, meetings and minutes.

This roles duties will include attending quarterly board meetings and monthly oversight meetings recording minutes, accurately and concisely. Therefore, a good understanding of committee process and protocols is essential for success.

Rate of Pay – £12 to £15 per hour. The contract is for 24 hours every three months and will be home based but with travel for meetings for which travelling expenses will be paid. A willingness to attend meetings at multiple sites will be required and the post holder should have access to a car.
