Volunteer Development Manager (P/T)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to further develop and lead our ambitious volunteering programme, with our sights set on delivering 50,000 hours of volunteering opportunities by 2023, we are looking for an experienced individual who has great people skills and the ability to inspire engagement in our nationally significant working woollen mill and Museum.
Coldharbour Mill’s volunteering strategy is to welcome, and encourage a diverse, enthusiastic, sustainable enhanced learning and development experience. We provide a framework in which our staff and our volunteers work with common purpose to transform and enable a 21st century visitor educational experience and to be sustainable, economically viable charity for many generations to come
You will lead volunteer development at both a strategic and operational level working closely with key staff to deliver recruitment, review, training and engagement of volunteers to enable the Mill’s resilience and sustainability alongside raising the profile of the Mill by engagement with groups and individuals as well as telling our great stories.
Coldharbour Mill aims to provide a great experience, with everyone knowing they are making a positive contribution to achieving the charity’s goals. Coldharbour Mill will achieve its ambition of imparting heritage skills to new generations, as well as preserving and enhancing the buildings and the visitor experience, if volunteers share the charity’s vision for the future.
