Railway Exhibition

Saturday 12th Sept - Saturday 3rd Oct

Step back into the golden age of rail travel and discover the fascinating story of the railway that once played such an important role in the life of the Culm Valley. Through photographs, artefacts, memories, and displays, this special exhibition will bring the railway’s rich heritage to life.

One of the exhibition’s highlights is the long-awaited return of our Model Railway, reopening to the public for the first time in many years. This much-loved attraction has been lovingly restored by our dedicated volunteer and railway enthusiast, Mike, whose passion and hard work have brought the model back to its former glory. Visitors of all ages will enjoy seeing the trains running once again!

There will also be a fascinating talk exploring the history and legacy of the Culm Valley Railway, along with many other exhibition features to be announced soon.

Water Water Exhibition

17th - 31st October

WATER WATER is a collaborative exhibition bringing together eco-conscious artists, makers and organisations to explore our vital relationship with water.

Through material, poetry, craft, workshops and interactive experiences, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how water shapes our lives, landscapes and communities — and how creative practice can inspire greater care for this precious shared resource.

Presented at Coldharbour Mill, Devon, in October 2026, WATER WATER responds to the pressures facing our waterways, from pollution and extraction to environmental change, while celebrating the creativity, connection and hope that can help shape a new future for water.

WATER WATER brings together makers and creative practitioners whose work reflects a deep respect for material, place and the natural world:

Natalie Day · Greshna Dibble · Duncan Hopkins · Caroline Lumb · Adam Morrigan · Princetown Press · Caroline Preston · Ruth Helen Smith / Heart and Wild · Two Rivers Paper · Rosie and Red Art and Leather

The project creates space for these individual voices to come together, sharing their work with a wider audience through a unique heritage setting and collaborative exhibition.
