Woolly Walkabout 28th October – Half Term Fun

We are flighted to be hosting the very first Woolly Walkabout this Autumn half term, so why not don your walking boots, join us for a meander down the old railway line and discover the historic sluice system!

Join us on the 28th October from 1pm – 3pm at Coldharbour Mill car park.

All ages are invited to not only get walking in the big outdoors but discover parts of our magnificent Mill and the untold history of the Mill train. This special afternoon out is for all the family to enjoy and includes a woolly trail, where children (and big kids) are sure to find all sorts of knitted beasts and bugs, lurking in the hedgerow.

With all the walking and running around, a complimentary hot chocolate will be waiting for you at our Waterside Cafe, you may even be tempted with a cake or two! What better location next to the river Culm and in the shadow of Coldharbour Mill to round off your autumn stroll?

Mill Manager, Ian will take you on an adventure to the Great Weir, explain how this rare sluice system once powered the Mill in the Victorian era and reveal the story of the lost railway, and its links to the village of Uffculme.

Car parking is free, but to support the regeneration of the Mill, a minimum donation of £2 per person is required, this does also include a yummy hot chocolate!
